Lauren answers her own question with her comments on Kristen Sinema and Joe Manchin. Dems don’t have a progressive or liberal or even a moderate majority in the Senate to pass anything. Constant laments suggesting progressives got Joe Elected is simply wrong. Independents got him elected and the unity of the GOP and conservative media, coupled with progressive demands to either move left or die are destroying Dem chances to send a message that independents can support. As I’ve written often, this is not a progressive nation and the progressive tone of the Dem left is driving independents back to the GOP. It’s time for moderation from the Left or the destruction of Biden’s presidency. The handwriting on the wall is clear but the Left can’t read.
