I have been looking for another thinker to agree with about the low information voter. The GOP won through blanketing media with loudly proclaimed lies, and right wing mouthpieces offered absolutely no fact checking that might have helped people to understand the BS they were being fed. And for nearly half the electorate, right wing BS is the only source of their news. The billionaire class of right wingers controls half the electorate and works daily to protect their own interests. Workers have never received benefits from the HOP unless they were proposed and passed by Dems. Then local GOP folks take credit for that. Best recent example is the CHIPS Act which had almost no GOP votes, but in the states benefiting the local fanatical right wingers are taking credit because it’s a powerful jobs creation program. Ask GOP. Others about facts, history, the effects of tax reform for the rich, or law enforcement for cheats, liars, felons, and you find them l living in an alternate world that comes out of outrageous lying from the platforms they follow. Without some kind of reform in media, billionaire authoritarians will get stronger.
