Great for your personal experiences, as were my own, but this fails to address the main point of the essay--in terms of the quality of the education available at the Ivy's, it's not worth the money. Access the the old boy network (to bolster an otherwise ofter mediocre student) is the only reason to attend this institutions. Most CEO's for example, are not Ivy grads.
NYU grads show up as corporate CEOs than those from any other business school. NYU isn't an IVY, so the success of NYU grads might actually relate to their closeness to the real life of business so frequently found in New York. And many are part-time students as well--working in real life and learning on the side. Dedication, not family class or social ties, result in success regardless of school attendance.
